Childress County District Court hears four pleas
On Wednesday, March 12, four pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in Childress County.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe Jr., presiding.
Tryston O’Rear, 19, from Wellington, Texas was placed on three years probation for the third degree felony offense of continuous violence against the family.
O’Rear was arrested by Collingsworth County Sheriff Kent Riley for the offense that took place on Nov. 3, 2023. O’Rear was indicted by a Collingsworth County Grand Jury on Oct. 10, 2024.
O’Rear was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, $376 in court costs, and complete 200 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, O’Rear faces up to ten years in prison.
Dontriel Lamar Ledet, 22, from Lafayette, La., was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, psilocybin.
Ledet was arrested by DPS Trooper Robert Barth on Feb. 9, 2024 in Childress County. Ledet pleaded to an information filed by the State on April 24, 2024.
Ledet was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Ledet faces up to two years in prison.
Lamont Phillip Frye, 44, from Roswell, Ga., was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, THC.
Frye was arrested by Childress County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Lacario on April 17, 2024. Frye pleaded to an information filed by the State on June 4, 2024.
Frye was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Frye faces up to two years in prison.

Willie Sanders, 45, from Altus, Okla., was placed on ten years probation for the first degree felony offense of burglary of a habitation intending to commit a felony.
Sanders was arrested for the offense that took place in Collingsworth County on Nov. 18, 2024. Sanders was indicted by a Collingsworth County Grand Jury on Jan. 30, 2025.
Sanders was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $376 in court costs, complete 400 hours of community service, and have no contact with the victim. If his probation is revoked, Sanders faces up to life or 99 years in prison.
