Garcia gets probated sentence for family violence
Childress – On Monday, Oct. 27, one plea took place in the 100th Judicial District Court, via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe Jr., presiding.
Misty Lee Garcia, 42, from Childress, was placed on two years probation for the third-degree felony offense of continuous violence against the family.
Garcia was arrested by Childress Police Officer Glen Egerton on Oct. 19, 2024. Garcia was indicted by a Childress Grand Jury on Aug 19.
Garcia was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $340 in court costs, complete 200 hours of community service, and attend counseling. If revoked, Garcia faces up to 10 years in prison.
