Hall County 100th Judicial District Court hears three pleas
In January and February, three pleas occurred in the 100th Judicial District Court regarding Hall County cases.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.
Juan Junior Pena, 50, from Memphis, Texas, was placed on four years’ probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, enhanced to a second-degree felony.
100th District Attorney Traffic Enforcer Todd Gambol arrested Pena on Aug. 8, 2025. Pena pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on Sept. 4, 2025.
Pena was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $180 lab fee, $290 in court costs, and 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Pena faces up to 20 years in prison.
Pena was also placed on four years’ probation for the third-degree felony offense of failure to appear.
Pena was arrested on Dec. 11, 2025, for failing to appear in court. Pena pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on Feb. 18.
Pena was also ordered to pay $450 in attorney fees and $290 in court costs. If revoked, Pena faces up to 10 years in prison.
Lawrence Dustin Herzberg, 39, from Turkey, Texas, was placed on three years’ probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Texas Parks and Wildlife State Park Police Officer Dawson Enloe arrested Herzberg on Nov. 29, 2025. Herzberg pleaded to an information filed by the State on Jan. 9.
Herzberg was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $180 lab fee, $290 in court costs, and 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Herzberg faces up to two years in prison.
