Carson County District Court hears 18 pleas

On Tuesday, June 9, 18 pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in Carson County.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe Jr., presiding.

Angie Amanda Ambrocio-Garcia, 26, from Indianapolis, was sentenced to three months for the state jail felony offense of fraudulent possession of identifying documents.

DPS Trooper Alexandra Moroles arrested Ambrocio in Carson County on May 28.  Ambrocio pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on June 9.

Ambrocio was also ordered to pay $305 in court costs.

Ambrocio’s plea of guilty subjects her to deportation to Guatemala.

Douglas Edward Malloy, 35, from Richmond, Ohio, was sentenced to three months for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two, tetrahydrocannabinol.

Moroles arrested Malloy in Carson County on May 9.  Malloy pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on June 9.

Malloy was also ordered to pay $305 in court costs.

Joshua Greenstein, 35 from Humble, Texas, was placed on two years probation for the second degree felony offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Hall County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dave Thomas arrested Greenstein on Oct. 3, 2025.  The Hall County Grand Jury indicted Greenstein on Jan. 21.

Greenstein was ordered to pay an upfront fine of $5,000, $290 in court costs, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Greenstein faces up to 20 years in prison.

Brett Adam Collier, 40, from Amarillo, was placed on two years probation for the third degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Carson County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy J.C. Blackburn arrested Collier on March 2, 2025.  Collier pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on May 29, 2025.

Collier was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $305 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Collier faces up to ten years in prison.

Jose Antonio Chavez, 32, from Borger, was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Blackburn arrested Chavez on Sept. 29, 2025.   Chavez pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on Nov. 5, 2025.

Chavez was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $305 in court costs, $180 laboratory restitution, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Chavez faces up to two years in prison.

Brad Scott Waddell, 42, from Bernalillo, N.M., was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two, tetrahydrocannabinol.

DPS Trooper Josh Allen arrested Waddell on Oct. 19, 2025.   Waddell pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on Jan. 19.

Waddell was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 laboratory restitution, $500 out-of-state probation transfer fee, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Waddell faces up to two years in prison.

Jeremy James Tidwell, 39, from Naples, Texas, was placed on two years probation for the state jail felony offense of theft of property

Armstrong arrested Tidwell on Sept. 6, 2025.   The Carson County Grand Jury indicted Tidwell on Jan. 29.

Tidwell was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $2,700 in restitution, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Tidwell faces up to two years in prison.

Jerrick Damon Martin, 18, from Lilbourn, Mo., was placed on two years probation for the state jail felony offense of money laundering.

DPS Trooper Richard Pacheco arrested Martin on July 8, 2025.   The Carson County Grand Jury indicted Martin on Dec. 4, 2025.

Martin was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $500 out-of-state probation transfer fee, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Martin faces up to two years in prison.

Jeffrey Neal Haiduk, 51, from White Deer, was placed on two years probation for the state jail felony offense of burglary of a building.

Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Armstrong arrested Haiduk on Feb. 5.   The Carson County Grand Jury indicted Haiduk on March 26.

Haiduk was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Haiduk faces up to two years in prison.

Joel Anthony Rushing, 35, from Albuquerque, N.M., was placed on two years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two, tetrahydrocannabinol.

DPS Trooper Moroles arrested Rushing on May 3. Rushing pleaded to an information filed by the State on June 9.

Rushing was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 lab fee, $500 out-of-state probation transfer fee, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Rushing faces up to two years in prison.

Justice Unique Spivey, 29, from Glendale, Ariz., was placed on two years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two, tetrahydrocannabinol.

DPS Trooper Lonnie Rawlins arrested Spivey on May 13. Spivey pleaded to an information filed by the State on June 9.

Spivey was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 lab fee, $500 out-of-state probation transfer fee, and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Spivey faces up to two years in prison.

Arely Mendoza, 32, from Odessa, Texas, was placed on two years probation for the class A misdemeanor offense of deadly conduct.

Panhandle Police Officer Brandon Sims arrested Mendoza on Nov. 14, 2025.  The Carson County Grand Jury indicted Mendoza on March 26.

Mendoza was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $60 laboratory restitution, $305 in court costs, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Mendoza faces up to one year in Carson County jail.

Jason Scott May, 55, from Panhandle, was placed on three years probation for the third degree felony offense of continuous assault family violence.

Sims arrested May on July 19, 2025.  The Carson County Grand Jury indicted May on Oct. 9, 2025.

May was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $450 in attorney fees, and $305 in court costs. If revoked, May faces up to ten years in prison.

Tammy Lynn McDonald, 57, from Borger, was placed on four years probation for the third degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy Colton Daniels arrested McDonald on Jan. 28, 2025.  The Carson County Grand Jury indicted McDonald on March 26.

McDonald was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and $180 laboratory restitution. If revoked, McDonald faces up to ten years in prison.

David Therador Forrest Bednorz, 31, from Panhandle, was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Blackburn arrested Bednorz on March 13 in Carson County. Bednorz pleaded to an information filed by the State on May 4.

Bednorz was ordered to pay $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and $180 lab restitution. If revoked, Bednorz faces up to two years in prison.

Bednorz was also placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of criminal mischief.

Blackburn arrested Bednorz on March 13 in Carson County. Bednorz pleaded to an information filed by the State on May 4.

Bednorz was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and $5,745.46 in restitution. If revoked, Bednorz faces up to two years in prison.

Jacob Lawrence Mize, 40, from White Deer, was convicted and sentenced to eight months in prison for the state jail felony offense of attempted unlawful restraint.

Daniels arrested Mize on Oct. 29, 2025.  Mize pleaded to an information filed by State on June 9.

Mize was ordered to pay a $305 in court costs.

Antonio Amado Mendez-Garcia, 57 from Roanoke, Va., was placed on four years probation for the second degree felony offense of smuggling of persons.

Moroles arrested Mendez on June 11, 2025.  The Carson County Grand Jury indicted Mendez on Dec. 4, 2025.

Mendez was ordered to pay a fine of $4,000, $305 in court costs, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Mendez faces up to 20 years in prison.
