Whitaker gets probation for THC possession

Childress – On Wednesday, Aug. 27, one plea took place in the 100th Judicial District Court, via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.

Ramsey Whitaker, 24, from Fort Collins, Colo., was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, THC.

Whitaker was arrested in Hall County by Memphis Police Officer Pedro Sanchez on Feb. 4. Whitaker pleaded to an information filed by the State on July 17.

Whitaker was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $290 in court costs, $400 in attorney’s fees, $180 lab fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Whitaker faces up to two years in prison.
