100th Judicial District Court in Childress hears 15 pleas
On Thursday, June 26, 15 pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in Childress County.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.

John Robert McAllister
John Robert McAllister, 43, from Memphis, Texas, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the second degree felony offense of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, enhanced to a first degree felony.
McAllister was arrested in Donley County by Sheriff Charles “Butch” Blackburn on Oct. 6, 2024. McAllister was indicted by a Donley County Grand Jury on Jan. 27.
McAllister was also ordered to pay $290 in court costs.
Cruz Viedo Gonzalez, 31, from Santa Ana, Calif., was sentenced to three years in prison for the third degree felony offense of evading arrest with a motor vehicle.

Gonzalez was arrested in Donley County by DPS Trooper Nathan Bozeman on Dec. 29, 2024. Gonzalez was indicted by a Donley County Grand Jury on March 24.
Gonzalez was also ordered to pay $305 in court costs.
Graciano Enrique Ramirez, 34, from Memphis, Texas, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the third degree felony offense of tampering with physical evidence, enhanced to a second degree felony. The offense occurred in Childress County on July 28, 2021.
Ramirez was originally placed on four years probation on Sept. 9, 2021.

On Feb. 7, the State filed its motion requesting the court to revoke Ramirez’ probation, alleging six violations of his conditions of probation. Ramirez pleaded true to the violations of his community supervision.
Ramirez was also ordered to pay the remaining $4,000 fine, $340 court costs, and $180 restitution.
Alexandra Armbrust, 30, from Clarendon, Texas, was placed on four years for the third degree felony offense of cruelty to non livestock animals.
Armbrust was arrested by Donley County Sheriff’s Deputy Jay Longan on July 26, 2024. Armbrust was indicted by a Donley County Grand Jury on June 2.
Armbrust was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs and successfully complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Armbrust faces up to 10 years in prison.
James Earl Griffen, 37, from Pampa, Texas, was placed on six years for the third degree felony offense of tampering with physical evidence, enhanced to a first degree felony.
Griffen was arrested by Childress Police Officer Glen Egerton on Oct. 23, 2024. Griffen pleaded to an information filed by the State on January 29.
Griffen was ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $180 restitution, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs and successfully complete 400 hours of community service. If revoked, Griffen faces up to 99 years or life in prison.
Patsy Michelle Marriott, 22, from Hale Center, Texas, was placed on four years probation for the second degree felony offense of online solicitation of a minor.
Marriott was arrested in Childress after an investigation was done by Childress Police Officer Daniel Tyler for the offense that occurred on Sept. 26, 2023. Marriott was indicted by a Childress County Grand Jury on Jan. 28.
Marriott was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $3,600 restitution, complete 300 hours of community service, and have no contact with the victim. If revoked, Marriott faces up to 20 years in prison.
Jacelyn Marie Jackson, 27, from Enid, Okla., was placed on six years probation for the second degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, Tetrahydracanibanol.
Jackson was arrested by Childress Police Officer Manda Young on May 22, 2024. Jackson pleaded to an information filed by the State on July 24, 2024.
Jackson was ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 restitution, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Jackson faces up to 20 years in prison.
Jackson was also placed on six years probation for the third degree felony offense of failure to appear that occurred in Childress County on Dec. 12, 2024.
Jackson was indicted by a Childress County Grand Jury on March 25.
Jackson was ordered to pay $450 in attorney fees and $340 in court costs. If revoked, Jackson faces up to 10 years in prison.
Stephen Lawayne Park, 42, from Huntsville, Texas, was placed on six years probation for the second degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Park was arrested by Childress Police Officer Camaron Thomas on April 30. Park pleaded to an information filed by the State on May 28.
Park was ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 restitution, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Park faces up to 20 years in prison.
Urav Kalpana Patel, 24, from Borger, Texas, was placed on eight years probation for the third degree felony offense of evading arrest in a motor vehicle, enhanced to a second degree felony.
Patel was arrested in Childress County by Thomas on April 11. Patel was indicted by a Childress County Grand Jury on June 3.
Patel was ordered to pay a $8,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Patel faces up to 20 years in prison.
Calvin Andrew Garrett, 51, from Childress, Texas, was convicted and sentenced to ten years in the Institutional Division of TDCJ, but the sentence was probated for a period of two years for the third degree felony offense of Driving While Intoxicate, 3rd or More.
Garrett was arrested by Childress Police Officer Anthony Smith on July 2, 2023. Garrett was indicted by a Childress County Grand Jury on October 8, 2024.
Garrett was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $340 in court costs, $60 lab fee, complete 200 hours of community service, and all the DWI requirements under Chapter 49.
Melvin Barnard Castanon, 42, from Arlington, Texas, was placed on five years probation for the third degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, Tetrahydracanibanol, enhanced to a second degree felony.
Castanon was arrested in Childress County by Thomas on Dec. 22, 2024. Castanon pleaded to an information filed by the State on Feb. 25.
Castanon was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Castanon faces up to 20 years in prison.
Jason T. Brown-Brannon, 35, from Plainview, Texas, was convicted and sentenced to two years in the State Jail Division of TDCJ, but the sentence was probated for a period of three years for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Brown-Brannon was arrested in Childress County by Egerton on Jan. 27. Brown-Brannon pleaded to an information filed by the State on Feb. 25.
Brown-Brannon was ordered to pay a $3,000 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 100 hours of community service.
Daniel Sung Ahn, 40, from Culver City, Calif., was placed on two years probation for the class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.
Ahn was arrested by Childress Police Officer Young on Aug. 1, 2024. Ahn pleaded to an information filed by the State on Sept. 19, 2024.
Ahn was ordered to pay an upfront fine of $4,000, $340 in court costs, $180 in restitution, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Ahn faces up to one year in the Childress County Jail.
Donald Leroy Bolan, 66, from Lakeport, Calif., was placed on two years probation for the class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.
Bolan was arrested by Childress Police Officer Young on June 14, 2023. Bolan pleaded to an information filed by the State on Nov. 9, 2023.
Bolan was ordered to pay an upfront fine of $2,500, $340 in court costs, $180 in restitution, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Bolan faces up to one year in the Childress County Jail.
