Thirteen pleas heard in Carson County District Court

On Tuesday, April 22, 13 pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in Carson County.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.

Renard Lee Villareal, 52, from Pampa, Texas, was sentenced to 22 months in prison for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Villareal was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Sergeant Taner Blackburn on June 1, 2021. Villareal pleaded to an information on Feb. 7, 2023.

The State filed its motion to adjudicate on Nov. 9, 2023, alleging seven violations of his community supervision. Villareal pleaded true to all of the violations.

Villareal was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, $340 in court costs, and $180 in restitution.

Arthur Ray Short, 64, from White Deer, Texas, was placed on ten years probation for the first degree felony offense of injury to an elderly person, enhanced.

Short was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy China Alexander on Dec.4, 2024. Short was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on March 18.

Short was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, $305 in court costs, $500 attorney fees, and complete 400 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Short faces up to 99 years or life in prison.

Victor Rudy Gloria, 54, from Vacaville, Calif., was placed on four years probation for the first degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Gloria was arrested by DPS Trooper Alejandro Morante on March 7, 2024. Gloria pleaded to an information filed by the State on May 28, 2024.

Gloria was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $305 in court costs, $180 in restitution, $500 attorney fees, and complete 400 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Gloria faces up to 99 years or life in prison.

Gladymar Perez Rivera, 44, from Feeding Hills, Mass., was placed on ten years probation for the first degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.

Rivera was arrested by DPS Trooper Danny Nunez on Oct. 10, 2023. Rivera was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on Dec. 19, 2024.

Rivera was also ordered to pay a $15,000 fine, $305 in court costs, $180 in restitution, $500 attorney fees, and complete 400 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Rivera faces up to 99 years or life in prison.

Daniel Clay Beavers, 35, from Amarillo, Texas, was convicted and sentenced to two years in prison but the sentence was probated for three years for the state jail felony offense of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

Beavers was arrested by Carson County Deputy Lonnie Leinenweaver on Oct. 12, 2024. Beaver pleaded to an information filed by the State on Dec. 9, 2024.

Beavers was ordered to pay a $500 fine, $60 lab fee, $400 attorney fees, complete 100 hours of community service, and all DWI requirements under chapter 49 of the Texas Penal Code.

Lemar Hawkins, 25, from Richton Park, Ill., was placed on ten years probation for the third degree felony offense of evading arrest in a motor vehicle.

Hawkins was arrested by Carson County Deputy Lonnie Leinenweaver on June 10, 2021. Hawkins was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on June 1, 2023.

Hawkins was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, $305 in court costs, a $500 transfer fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Hawkins faces up to ten years in prison.

Rabe found that Hawkins used a deadly weapon during the commission of the offense, which would require him to serve at least 50 percent of his sentence if revoked.

Kimberly Cathryn Linquist, 39, from Clarkston, Wash., was placed on four years probation for the third degree felony offense of evading arrest in a motor vehicle.

Linquist was arrested by Carson County Deputy Matt Wadsworth on Jan. 15, 2024. Linquist was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on Dec. 19, 2024.

Linquist was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, a $500 transfer fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If her probation is revoked, Linquist faces up to ten years in prison.

Rabe found that Linquist used a deadly weapon during the commission of the offense, which would require her to serve at least 50 percent of her sentence if revoked.

Jaleah Antoinette McClure, 20, from Conway, Ark., was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, ecstasy.

McClure was arrested by DPS Cade Young on Oct. 22, 2024. McClure pleaded to an information filed by the State on Feb. 3.

McClure was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 lab fee, a $500 transfer fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If her probation is revoked, McClure faces up to two years in prison.

Harvey Eugene Weaver, 49, from Kennesaw, Ga., was placed on six years probation for the third degree felony of money laundering.

Weaver was arrested by DPS Trooper Alejandro Morante on March 4, 2024. Weaver was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on Dec. 19, 2024.

Weaver was also ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, a $500 transfer fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Weaver faces up to ten years in prison.

Judah Allen Northrop, 24, from Kennesaw, Ga., was placed on six years probation for the third degree felony of money laundering.

Northrop was arrested by Morante on March 4, 2024. Northrop was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on Dec, 19, 2024.

Northrop was also ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, a $500 transfer fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If her probation is revoked, Northrop faces up to ten years in prison.

Julian Trevino, 45, from Memphis, Texas, was placed on two years probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.

Trevino was arrested by 100th Judicial District Traffic Enforcement Division Officer Todd Gambol on Nov. 30, 2023 in Donley County. Trevino pleaded to an information filed by the State on Dec.12, 2023.

Trevino was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $305 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Trevino faces up to one year in the Donley County Jail.

William Reydesel Mendez, 29, from Hereford, Texas, was placed on two years probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.

Mendez was arrested by DPS Trooper Robert Varner on July 2, 2023 in Childress County. Mendez pleaded to an information filed by the State on Sept. 26, 2023.

Mendez was also ordered to pay an upfront $4,000 fine, $340 in court costs, $180 lab fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Mendez faces up to one year in the Childress County Jail.

David Youssef, 29, from Staten Island, N.Y., was placed on two years probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.

Youssef was arrested by Wadsworth on Jan. 2. Youssef pleaded to an information filed by the State on Feb. 14.

Youssef was ordered to pay an upfront fine of $4,000 fine, $340 in court costs, $400 attorney fees, $180 in restitution, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Youssef faces up to one year in the Carson County Jail.
