Two receive probation in Donley and Hall Counties District Courts

On Monday, April 14, three pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in Hall County.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.

Cameron Clay Baker, 24 from Amarillo, Texas was placed on eight years probation for the first degree felony offense of aggravated kidnapping that occurred in Donley County.

Baker was arrested by Donley County Sheriff Butch Blackburn for the offense that took place on November 4, 2024. Baker was indicted by a Donley County Grand Jury on Jan. 27.

Baker was also ordered to pay a $8,000 fine, $290 in court costs, and complete 400 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Baker faces up to 99 years or life in prison.

Baker was also placed on eight years probation for the third degree felony offense of assault by choking that occurred in Donley County.

Baker was also ordered to pay $290 in court costs. If his probation is revoked, Baker faces up to 10 years in prison.  Based upon the nature of the offenses, Baker could be sentenced consecutively if his probations are revoked.

Argenis Daniel Campos Ramirez, 20, from Galveston, Texas, was convicted for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument and sentenced to 67 days in the Hall County Jail.

Ramirez was arrested on Feb. 7 by Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Kyle Deaton. Ramirez pleaded to an information filed by the State on March 27.

Ramirez was also ordered to pay $290 in court costs and $180 restitution.
