Chance Dewayne Weiss, 33, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026.

Chance will lie in state from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the funeral home. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pampa.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Chance was born July 21, 1992, in Amarillo, to Jackie Lynette Bobbitt and Franklin Dewayne Weiss. He married Shelby Kelley on Aug. 24, 2013, in Stinnett. Chance worked as the interim postmaster at the Fritch Post Office. He enjoyed fishing and trying new recipes. His children said that “Daddy always smiled! And his favorite color is blue”. He enjoyed eating cottage cheese with pepper. Chance enjoyed coaching his kids in various sports whether it be from the sidelines or the stands. Nothing brought more joy to his life than spending time with his kids.

He is preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa, Vineta and Glenn Weiss; and mother-in-law, Olga Kelley.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby; sons, Ray, Wyatt, Tristian; daughter, Lexi; parents, Dewayne and Lynette Weiss of Panhandle; grandma and grandpa, Laurette and Lynn Bobbitt of Beaver, Okla.; brothers, Brent Weiss of Panhandle, Kyle Weiss and wife Tiffany of Monroe, La.; niece, Lynlie Harbert; and nephews, Sawyer Weiss, Oakland Weiss, Jerry Harbert, Brady Harbert, Ezra Contreras and Julian Contreras.
