Susan Reining Wells, 66 of Amarillo, passed peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and daughter.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 9, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home in Amarillo, with Chaplain Chad Horton officiating. Graveside services were held that same afternoon, at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Susan had a gift for making a house feel like home. She was a wonderful baker, cook, and gardener who poured her heart into everything she did. Susan’s hardworking nature was matched only by her devotion to her family and husband. She found joy in nurturing others; Susan will be remembered forever for her smile, kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

Susan’s life will be celebrated by those who loved her most, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Roger Wells; her son, Bryan Stone, and his wife Jamie; her daughter, Monica and husband Richard Ellyson; her sisters, Elaine Folley and Judy Esch; her brother, James Reining; nine grandchildren, Chloe, Gretel and Lazarus Stone, and Nella, Jaigan and Kylin and Kris, Camdon and Chase Tyler. Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
