Unofficial May 6 Election Results

The unofficial May 6 Election Results have been released, and the votes will be canvassed at 9 a.m. on May 12 at the Carson County Courthouse.

A total of 535 voters turned out to vote in the elector of two propositions concerning Emergency Services Districts 1 and 2, White Deer City elections for mayor and three At-Large council seats, White Deer Independent School District Board of Trustees – Places 3, 4 and 5, and for three At-Large seats on the Groom Independent School District Board of Trustees. Of the 535 votes cast, 134 were early votes, 2 absentee and 399 were cast on election day.

Unofficial results:

Proposition A: Confirming the creation of Carson County Emergency Services District No. 1 for providing only emergency ambulance services to its citizens and authorizing the imposition of a tax not to exceed the rate allowed by Section 48-e, Article III, Texas Constitution. FOR 417   AGAINST 94

Proposition B: Confirming the creation of Carson County Emergency Services District No. 1 for providing first responder emergency medical services, rural fire prevention and control services, or other emergency services authorized by the Legislature, except emergency ambulance services, and authorizing the imposition of a tax not to exceed the rate allowed by Section 48-e, Article III, Texas Constitution. FOR: 402   AGAINST: 94
