Panhandle Seventh Grade Panthers got rained out before completing their first season game in Stratford. This partial game is not being considered a game.
However, here’s a scope of the first half. The first quarter was scoreless. At 5:50 left in the second quarter, Stratford made a touchdown and a 2-point PAT, the Quarterback Edge Crow threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Durham. The 2-point PAT attempt failed and Stratford was up 8-6.
On the kickoff, Crow caused a fumble, which was recovered by Emry Munn with 55 ticks left on the clock. Panhandle was stopped at the Stratford goal line as time ran out.
There was lightning delay at halftime, and the game was called.
The little Panthers will travel to Dalhart this afternoon to play the Wolves. Game time is at 5 p.m.
