Fourteen pleas heard in Carson County District Court
On Tuesday, June 24, 14 pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in Carson County.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.
Elizabeth Ann Sharp, 42, from Perryton, Texas, was sentenced to eight years in prison for the third degree felony offense of evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
Sharp was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy Lonny Leinenweaver on March 20, 2024. Sharp pleaded to an information on May 13, 2024.
The State filed its motion to adjudicate on Sept. 20, 2024, alleging seven violations of her community supervision. Sharp pleaded true to all of the violations.
Sharp was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine and $340 in court costs. Rabe made a finding of a deadly weapon during the commission of the offense, requiring Sharp to serve at least 50 percent of her sentence before becoming parole eligible.
Weston Kyle Dent, 45, from Jet, Okla., was placed on six years probation for the second degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, psilocin.
Dent was arrested by DPS Trooper Jerome Ingle on Oct. 22, 2024. Dent was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on March 27.
Dent was also ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 in restitution, $500 transfer fee, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Dent faces up to 20 years in prison.
Keith Wood Holland, 39, from Canadian, Texas, was placed on two years probation for the second degree felony offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a motor vehicle.
Holland was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Wadsworth on May 26, 2024. Holland was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on March 27.
Holland was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, $305 in court costs, and complete 300 hours of community service. If revoked, Holland faces up to 20 years in prison.
Rabe found that Holland used a deadly weapon during the commission of the offense, which would require him to serve at least 50 percent of his sentence if revoked.
Joseph Able Murillo, 20, from Big Springs, Texas, was placed on ten years probation for the third degree felony offense of evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
Murillo was arrested by Carson County Chief Deputy J.C. Blackburn on Aug. 23, 2024. Murillo was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on March 27.
Murillo was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Murillo faces up to ten years in prison.
Rabe found that Murillo used a deadly weapon during the commission of the offense, which would require him to serve at least 50 percent of his sentence if revoked.
Manuela Medrano, 54, from Amarillo, Texas was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of theft of metals.
Medrano was arrested by Blackburn on Nov. 25, 2023. Medrano was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on Jan. 30.
Medrano was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs and successfully complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Medrano faces up to two years in prison.
Justin Ray Reynolds, 38, from Denton, Texas, was placed on four years probation for the third degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Reynolds was arrested by Blackburn on March 2. Reynolds pleaded to an information filed by the State on May 29.
Reynolds was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 in restitution and complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Reynolds faces up to ten years in prison.
Reynolds was also placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of theft of petroleum.
Reynolds was arrested by Panhandle Police Chief Sace Hardeman on Jan. 14. Reynolds pleaded to an information filed by the State on June 9.
Reynolds was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees and $305 in court costs. If revoked, Reynolds faces up to two years in prison.
Jordan Christeen Thomas, 39, from Amarillo, was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Thomas was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy China Alexander on April 25, 2024. Thomas pleaded to an information filed by the State on Sept. 16, 2024.
Thomas was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, $180 in restitution and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Thomas faces up to two years in prison.
Thomas was also placed on six years probation for the third degree felony offense of failure to appear.
Thomas was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on March 27, after she failed to appear at district court on Dec. 10, 2024.
Thomas was ordered to pay $450 in attorney fees and $305 in court costs. If revoked, Thomas faces up to ten years in prison.
Hailey Nikole McCord, 30, from Pampa, was placed on five years probation for the state jail felony offense of securing documents by deception.
McCord was indicted by the Carson County Grand Jury on Dec. 19, 2024, after an investigation was conducted by Inspector General Investigator Tiffany Golden.
McCord was ordered to pay $6,205 in restitution, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, McCord faces up to two years in prison.
Christopher Glen Gray, 40, from Amarillo, was placed on three years probation for the third degree felony of prohibited weapon.
Gray was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Taner Blackburn on Oct. 27, 2022. Gray was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on Aug. 22, 2024.
Gray was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, and complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Gray faces up to ten years in prison.
Francisco Lopez, 32, from Chicago, was placed on two years probation for the third degree felony of money laundering.
Lopez was arrested by DPS Trooper Danny Nunez on Oct. 17, 2022. Lopez was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on Aug. 22, 2024.
Lopez was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, a $500 transfer fee, and complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Lopez faces up to ten years in prison.
Dale Iver Palmer, 50, from New Port, Tenn., was placed on four years probation for the third degree felony of possession of marijuana.
Palmer was arrested by DPS Trooper Cade Young on June 6, 2024. Palmer was indicted by a Carson County Grand Jury on Jan. 30.
Palmer was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $450 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, a $500 transfer fee, $180 in restitution and successfully complete 200 hours of community service. If revoked, Palmer faces up to ten years in prison.
Dominique Nathaniel Runyan, 32, from Independence, Mo., was placed on three years probation for the state jail felony offense of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Runyan was arrested by Carson County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Richardson on May 6. Runyan pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State.
Runyan was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $305 in court costs, complete 100 hours of community service, and a $500 probation transfer fee. If revoked, Runyan faces up to two years in prison.
