Chloe Chavez earns position on USA Para Track & Field Worlds team

Panhandle’s own Chloe Chavez will be traveling to New Dehli, India, where she will be competing with USA Track & Field Worlds team beginning on Sept. 26 through Oct. 5. She along with 40 other USA athletes will make up the 2025 USA Para Track & Field Worlds team.
She earned the exceptional and exciting opportunity last weekend at the 2025 Outdoor and Para National Championships at Hayward Stadium in Track Town USA in Eugene, Ore.
Chloe ran the 100 meter, 200 meter and threw the discus … medaling in all three events. She earned bronze medals in the 100 meter dash and the discus, and a silver medal in the 200 meter dash.
This will be Chloe’s second time to compete abroad. She traveled to Chile in 2024 where she competed, and was named the 2024 Female Track Athlete of the Year and High School All-American at the Paralympics Track and Field at the National Championships.
A 2025 Panhandle High School graduate, Chloe will be attending San Diego State University this fall and is a member of the SDSU Adaptive Athletics team. She is the daughter of Sheryl and Terry Chavez and older sister to Maddison.
