I want to recognize and celebrate their self-discipline, poise and determination. The Panther competitiveness was in full display.”

The squad earned top awards in the Stunting S.A.F.E. competition – Spotting, ensuring safety by having a designated spotter during stunts; Awareness, being aware of surroundings and teammates during routines; Fundamentals – mastering basic skills and techniques before advancing; and Equipment – using proper and safe equipment for practice and performance.

The PHS Squad also earned the Technical Excellence Award in Prop Incorporation, two superior ribbons and one outstanding ribbon. They received the Top National Cheerleading Association’s (NCA) Cheer and top NCA Band Chant.

In addition to the squad honors, Lexi Durst and Braelyn Ritter were individually named All American Cheerleaders and Slade Bertrand, aka Peppie the Panther, received All American and Best Mascot for the fourth year.

Congratulations to this squad and good luck this fall as you represent PHS and the Panhandle community!
