William Jason Stephens

Jason passed away on March 17, 2019. He gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized at Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo. He attended Tascosa High School and Amarillo College and served in the United States Navy. He had a particular interest in photography and enjoyed seeing the United States on cross country trips.
Jason had a deep father’s love for his children, Beth, Maddie and Chase, finding with them such joy and pride. He moved to Tulsa, Okla. in 2013, where he met and married Jessica Ash and lived with her and her children Joe and Molly.
Jason lived his life fully, was loved and loved in return. He had a big heart. Friends and family have shared loving memories and stories of how he helped in so many different ways. Even in death, he enriched lives by being an organ donor.
Jason is survived by his parents, Sharon and Bill Stephens of Amarillo; his wife, Jessica of Tulsa; his children, Bonnie Elizabeth York of Amarillo, Madison Laine Stephens Lucas of Canyon, William Chase Stephens serving in the U.S. Navy, Joe Samuel Ash of Wyoming, and Molly Ash Stephens of Tulsa; grandson, Hayze Pazmino; sister, Rhonda and husband Jim Sudbury of Amarillo; grandmother, Margaret Hammer of Panhandle; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Lane Stephens.
To celebrate his life, a memorial will be held on April 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Amarillo.
The family requests donations to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
