Victoria Lea Broussard pleas guilty to possession of controlled substance

CLARENDON – On Wednesday, June 14, one plea took place in the 100th Judicial District Court via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.
Victoria Lea Broussard, 25 from Longview, Texas, was placed on six years probation for the second degree offense of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two, tetrahydrocannabinol.
Broussard was arrested in Childress County by Childress Police Officer Daniel Hill on March 7, and pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on April 20.
Broussard was also ordered to pay a $6,000 fine, $340 in court costs, $180 restitution, and complete 300 hours of community service. If her probation is revoked, Broussard faces up to 20 years in the Institutional Division of TDCJ.
