The Ettes finished in second place as a team by shooting a two-day total of 864. Memphis captured the District Championship by shooting a two-day total of 823. Wellington finished in third with 869 strokes; Clarendon was fourth with 1,1014; and Wheeler was fifth with 1,154.
The Ettes were sitting in third place with a team total of 433 after the first round of District play. The Ettes trailed by nine strokes for second place behind Wellington going into the final round. Competing for the Ettes were Sara McMinn 93-99 for the two-day tournament; Brayleigh McGill 101-100; Kinley Hammer 117-110; Ashleigh George 122-122; and Maycie Hammer 124-135.
The Panthers A Team finished their final round of District play by shooting a 308 for a two-day total of 635 strokes and winning the District 2-2A Championship by 127 strokes over Panhandle B team.
The Panthers led by 63 strokes over Panhandle B on the first day of district play by shooting a team total of 363. Competing for the Panthers A Team were Sean McMinn 77-71 for the two-day tournament; Griffin Fields 78-78; Logan McCoid 83-85; Josh Prather 89-74; Carter Neil 90-87.
The Panthers B Team finished their final round of district play by shooting a 372 for two-day total of 762 strokes and finishing in second place. Competing for the Panthers B Team were Levi McGill 88-89; Gauge Hackett 99-110; Alex Kuehler 101-99; Cade Swinford 101-104; and Wesley Jones 80.
Competing as Individual players were Joe Smith 113-99 for the two-day tournament; Baylee Ogletree 119-117; and Locke Williams 125-120
The Panthers A and B Teams will play at the Boys Regional Golf Tournament on April 22-23 at Ratliff Ranch Golf Links in Odessa.
The Ettes will play at the Girls Regional Golf Tournament on April 24-25 at Ratliff Ranch Golf Links in Odessa.
Sean McMinn was named Individual District Champion. Fields was second place medalist and Prather was third place medalist.
Sara McMinn was girl’s second place medalist.
Coach Kristi Cameron said, “This has been our goal from day one to work hard and get all three teams to Regionals. That is what they did ... practice and played. It paid off! So proud of each and every one of them!”
