Thomas F. Cline Sr., 94, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.

Services were held Feb. 4 in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Thomas Robert Cline officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home of Amarillo.

Thomas was born May 31, 1919, in Hawleyton, N.Y., to Thomas J. and Nellie Parsons Cline. He married Elizabeth Doetsch on Jan. 14, 1937, in Binghamton, N.Y. Together, they celebrated more than 70 years of marriage before she preceded him in death. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart Medal, among other commendations. He was a big fan of Lawrence Welk, puzzle books and westerns. He also loved tractors, cars and dominoes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Thomas F. Cline Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Caitlin Bullock.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Thomas Robert Cline and wife Linda Cooper of Binghamton, N.Y., and Bonnie Wesel and husband Joseph, and Deanna Bullock and husband Dennis Howard, all of Amarillo; five great-grandchildren, Dacia Anderson and husband Chris Miller of Amarillo, Beth Dumaoal and husband Shawn of Panhandle, Thomas Harold Lambert of Amarillo, Amanda Cline of Albany, N.Y., and Brian Bullock of Amarillo; six great-grandchildren, Candice and Thomas Scott Lambert, Everett Anderson, Hazel Miller, Annika and Carson Dumaoal; a brother-in-law, Herman Doetsch and wife Verda of North Carolina; and his special companion, Daisy.

The family suggests memorials be to the ASPCA.
