Services were held Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in First Baptist Church in Claude with Dick Gravley, pastor, officiating. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo.

Stephanie was born July 10, 1974, in Amarillo to Ralph and Paula Cornett. She graduated from Hanks High School in El Paso and attended Amarillo College. She had worked for Fed-Ex in Lubbock and spent the last four years working for Amarillo Medical Services as an emergency medical technician.

She enjoyed helping her granddad at St. Francis Sausage Dinner. She also loved soccer, softball and riding horses. Stephanie had a zest for life and loved her family and friends. She attended First Baptist Church in Claude.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Cornett; her grandmother, Maxine Bichsel; and her father-in-law, Michael “Dado” Slack.

Survivors include her husband, Landen Slack; daughters, Brianna and fiancé, Tim,and Sharayah, all of Claude; son, Shawn of Claude; a sister, Jennifer Cornett of Shallowater; a brother, Andrew Cornett of San Antonio; her father, Ralph Cornett of Boerne; a granddaughter, Jensynn Rumbaugh; her granddad, Maynard Bichsel of Washburn; her grandparents, Joe and Ruby Cornett of Gould, Okla.; and several cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews.
