Mr. and Mrs. Rowdy Freeman

Rachel Ann Smith and Rowdy Luke Freeman were united in marriage on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at St. Stephen Methodist Church in Amarillo. The bride is the daughter of Rick & Cindy Malena of Amarillo and the granddaughter of Marilyn Malena of Amarillo and Gracie Haddox of Amarillo.

Parents of the groom are Phil and Renae Freeman of Panhandle. He is the grandson of Aimee Lamberson of Panhandle, the late Stocky Lamberson, and the late Barney and Eulene Freeman.

Matron of Honor April Oliver wore a red dress while the remaining bridal attendants wore black dresses. Bridal attendants were daughters of the bride, Alex Smith and Maddie Smith, Jessica Cardenas, Annie Cleavinger, and Karman Vasquez. Kadie Kempf-Stone, niece of the bride, was flower girl and Kaylea Courtney served as register attendant.

Pake Freeman served as his brother’s Best Man while Neil Packard, Kyle Gabel, Jake Smith, Paul Weinheimer and Tyler Smith served as groomsmen. The groomsmen were dressed in black tuxedos with red vests and bow-ties. Gage Smith, son of the bride, was the ring-bearer. Ushers were Brock Sherwood and Nick Cardenas.

After a reception and dance at the Event Centre in Amarillo, the couple honeymooned in Cozumel, Mexico. They reside in Amarillo where Rowdy is the Athletic Coordinator and Rachel is an 8th grade science teacher at Bowie Middle School.
