She married Francis Charles (Harvey) Lyson in 1977 and is the mother of a daughter, Adrienne Jane Escobedo (Adrian) of Kemah, and a son, Nathan Cole Lyson (Mimi) of Dickinson.

Preceded in death by her father, Bennie Urbanczyk and her husband, Harvey Lyson, Roseann is survived by her mother, Mozelle Pruitt Urbanczyk of Panhandle. Also surviving her are her sisters, Linda Kintz (Joe) of Eugene, Ore., Karen Counts (Robert) of Panhandle, Marsha Neel of Marble Falls, Lisa Cradit (Jon) of San Marcos and a special sister, Stacey Urbanczyk of College Station; and brothers, Jan Urbanczyk (Susan) of Bowie, Md., Joel Urbanczyk of Panhandle, Kevin Urbanczyk (Amelie) of Alpine and Ben Urbanczyk (Susie) of Pflugerville.

She loved being with her three grandchildren, Ella Rose and Nolan John Escobedo, and Olivia Grace Lyson, who adored their beloved Nana. Roseann will be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and loving in-laws, who cherished visiting her and challenging her to card games. She also loved working Sudoku and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Roseann grew up on her family’s farm and loved spending time with her large family and her many aunts, uncles and cousins, with whom she spent holidays. She especially loved being in the garden with her grandmother, Alta Pruitt, and spending summers evening outdoors with her grandfather, Gaines Pruitt, of Panhandle.

Roseann was loved for her sweet, quiet, calm spirit. All her nieces and nephews felt her steady acceptance of everyone, though she also had a mischievous sense of humor. The world is a better place because Roseann was in it.
