Robert Allen Kerr

Robert Allen Kerr, was born on April 26, 1928 in Royse City, Texas to parents Fred Allen and Lillian (Mills) Kerr and entered into eternal rest on Dec. 27, 2014 at the age of 86.
Robert who was known as “Bob” by all who knew him liked wood working and in his younger years was a clown for LTV. He served our country in the Navy. Bob worked thirty eight years for LTV after which he enjoyed volunteering a lot, his special interest was ARK, a United Campus Christian Ministry at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens. He also volunteered for Henderson County Animal Shelter and was active with the Henderson County Performance Art Theater.
Bob was a member of Payne Springs United Methodist Church. He was a very giving man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one son David Allen Kerr, one grandson Julian Holman, and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife Velma M. Kerr of Athens; sons, Bruce Kerr of Dallas and Toby Kerr of Canyon Lake, Texas; granddaughters, Kristal Kerr of Grand Prairie, Texas and Brittany Holman and husband Josh of Mulvane, Kan.; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Tommye Roark and husband Don of Panhandle, Texas; other loving family members; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held for Robert at a later date.
