SPEARMAN — Mildred “Millie” Craig, 81, of Spearman, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014.

Services were held Saturday, March 22, in First Baptist Church in Spearman with Rev. Jim Medley officiating. Burial was in Hansford Cemetery with arrangements by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Millie was born Sept. 21, 1932, in Mitchell, La., to Worth Linwood Barrett and Thelma Morris Barrett. She married L.C. Craig Jr. on Dec. 25, 1947.

Millie gave 100 percent to everything she did. She was a bowler, traveling all over Texas and much of the U.S. to tournaments. She loved walking with her son Pip and taking care of her family.

She was a pink lady at the hospital and delivered meals on wheels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors include five daughters, Deborah Fine and husband Tom of Decatur, Cheryl Stelleges and husband Walter of San Antonio and Judy Collins and husband Don, Sharon Wilson and Angela Looten and husband Carl, all of Amarillo; and a son, L.C. “Pip” Craig III of Spearman; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to American Lung Association, 5926 N. Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78731.
