Michael Wayne “Mickey” Easley, 70, died Feb. 2, 2014 in Miami.

Services will be held today, Feb. 6, at First Baptist Church in Miami, with Rev. Lewis Holland, officiating.

Burial will follow in Miami Cemetery with military honors, courtesy of the U.S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas, under the direction of Charmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mr. Easley was born Sept. 28, 1943 in Hooks, Texas. He had been a resident of Miami since he was fourteen years old where he lived with Felton and Lazelle South. He was a 1964 graduate of Miami High School. Mickey attended Cisco Junior College form 1964-1966 where he played football. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1966-1968 where he worked in the motor pool as a truck driver. From 1968 until 1972, he attended Sul Ross University where he played football. He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 24 years and Roberts County for seven years, retiring in 2003. Mickey married Sharon Ledbetter on June 21, 1986. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Miami and was a volunteer fire fighter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and liked to fish, camp and hunt. Mickey was always willing to help others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Billy Easley, Lloyd Easley and David Easley; and three sisters, Mary Jane Schelhamer, Joyce Jane Easley and Peggy Jane Easley.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Easley, of the home; a daughter, Jamie Almanza and husband Alfonso of Pampa; a son, Sean Arganbright and wife Kristin of Panhandle; three brothers, Hal Easley of Moore, Okla., Lyndale Easley and wife Mary Jean of Arlington, Dan Easley and wife Rhogene of Amarillo; three sisters, Dorothy Nottingham of Plano, Oleta Faye Easley of Columbus, Ohio and Brenda Sue Phelemon of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren, Chance Almanza and wife Amanda, Seth Almanza and wife Casandra, Makenzy Arganbright and Ethan Arganbright; and a great-grandchild, Kennedy Almanza.
