Margaret Webster Saunders Holland

Pampa — Margaret Webster Saunders Holland, 90, of Pampa died Thursday, July 12, 2012.

Services were held Saturday, July 14, in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dallas Stringer, pastor, and the Rev. Richard Bartel, associate pastor, officiating. Graveside services were held Saturday afternoon in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley with the Rev. Bruce Howard, pastor of First Baptist Church of Hedley, officiating. Arrangements were by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mrs. Holland was born March 2, 1922, in Memphis. She married R.M. Saunders on July 6, 1940, in Memphis. He preceded her in death June 24, 1968. She later married Otis Holland on July 11, 1970. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2001. She had been a resident of Hedley from 1946 to 2004, when she moved to Pampa. She retired in 1999 from Security State Bank in Hedley as a cashier after 36 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hedley for 56 years, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Hedley. She and her husband, R.M. Saunders, owned and operated Saunders Garage and Saunders Conoco and Butane.

Survivors include five daughters, Judy Clendennen of Pampa, Sandra Baggett and husband Doyle of Claude, Marilyn Bolin and husband Ronnie of Texhoma, Okla., Nancy Stephens and husband Henry of Hedley and Cindy Chilton and husband Mike of Purcell, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Tammy Wagner and husband Randy, Darrin Clendennen and wife Jody, and Misty Baten and husband Brent, all of Pampa, Terry Baggett of Claude, Brannon Stephens and wife Hope of Panhandle, Douglas Bolin and wife Kristi of Enid, Okla., Jena Marr and husband Rodney of Texhoma, Kristi Barton of Wayne, Okla., and Kandi Evans and husband Dusty of Moore, Okla., 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 900 E. 23rd St., Pampa, TX 79065; Rowe Cemetery, in care of City of Hedley, P.O. Box 185, Hedley, TX 79237; or Interim Hospice, 2217 Perryton Parkway, Pampa, TX 79065.
