Childress – On Tuesday, May 4, one plea took place in the 100th Judicial District Court in the Childress County Courthouse via zoom from a Carson County revocation.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.
Kory Justin Harris, 30 from Skellytown, was sentenced to six years in prison for the third degree felony offense of forgery.
Harris was arrested on Dec. 26, 2019 by Carson County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Richardson. Harris originally pleaded guilty on March 18, 2020. The State filed its motion to revoke Jan. 19, alleging seven violations of community supervision.
Harris was also required to pay a $500 fine, $340 in court costs, and $5,900 in restitution.
