Kevin Dale Popplewell, 42, of Amarillo died Monday, June 18, 2012.

Services were heldFriday, June 22 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Billy Kersh, pastor of children’s ministries at Washington Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Burial was at Llano Cemetery with arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo.

Kevin was born Oct. 12, 1969, in Amarillo to Ronald and Louise Popplewell. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1988. Kevin married Donna Vick on Aug. 31, 1991, in Amarillo. He had worked for Kroozers Automotive for more than 18 years, and he loved to pitch washers and play volleyball.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Popplewell; a son, Trey Popplewell; two daughters, Haley and Morgan Popplewell, all of the home; his parents, Ron and Louise Popplewell of Howardwick; his grandmother, Goldie Smyth of Atchison, Kan.; two brothers, Ronnie Popplewell and wife Ginger of Tallassee, Ala., and Sammy Popplewell of Oklahoma City; his twin sister, Karen Pybus and husband Ray of Jacksonville, Fla.; many nieces, nephews, special friends; and his three dogs, Samson, Scout and Jacqueline.
