Hubert Jacob Janssen

Hubert Jacob Janssen, 84, of Panhandle died Friday July 20, 2012 at Wellington, Texas. Graveside services were held Monday, July 23, at Panhandle Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Hubert Janssen was born Oct. 16, 1927 at Sapulpa, Okla. to Jacobus and Goldie Mongold Janssen. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean conflict. He married Hazel Meaker on April 5, 1953 in Clovis, N.M. He worked for J.M. Huber Corporation as a Machinist for 13 years. He loved to scuba dive, rock hunting and especially his grandkids. He was a lifetime member of the James Mecaskey VFW Post 6972 in Panhandle

He is survived by his wife Hazel of Panhandle; daughters, Debbie Doebele and husband William of Shamrock, Dora Deal and husband Dennis of Cottonwood, Ariz; seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
