CLARENDON – On Thursday, June 1, one plea took place in the 100th Judicial District Court via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.

Timothy Bert Herrick, 60, was placed on eight years probation for the second degree felony offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Herrick was arrested by DPS Trooper Jerome Ingle on Feb. 24, 2023, and pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on May 26.

Herrick was also ordered to pay a $8,000 fine to Carson County, $340 in court costs, and complete 300 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Herrick faces up to 20 years in the Institutional Division of TDCJ.
