Fannie Lee Carter, 88, died Friday, May 2, 2014.

Graveside services were Tuesday, May 6, in Fairview Cemetery with Dale Meadows and Keith Ferrer, pastor of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements were by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Ms. Carter was born Sept. 15, 1925, in Sidney, Ark. As a young girl, she moved to Pampa, where she attended school. She worked as a caregiver for many years. She was a member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ. In her spare time, she collected dolls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Minnie Carter and four brothers, Laniel Carter, E.O. Carter, Arthur Carter and Paul Carter.

Survivors include a sister, Pauline Skidmore and husband Fred of Panhandle; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Carter and Jean Carter, both of Pampa; four nephews, Bill Carter and wife Deana, Ronald Carter and Randy Carter and wife Pamela, all of Pampa and Mickey Skidmore and wife Donna of Panhandle; two nieces, Christine Pax and husband Virgil of Salem, Mo. and Sherry Mitchell of Panhandle; several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ Youth Group, 1342 N. Mary Ellen St., Pampa, TX 79065.
