Harrells & Mulkeys Share Anniversary Celebrations

Glynn D and Sybil Harrell, formerly of Groom, celebrated 75 years of marriage with a family gathering and reception on Oct. 20, 2012 at Craig Methodist Retirement Community in Amarillo. They were married Oct. 24, 1937, in Tulia, Texas, and resided in Groom where they raised three daughters, Louise, Glynda, and Beverly. They owned and operated Groom Hardware Store, bred Quarter Horses, and farmed until retirement, moving to Amarillo 10 years ago.
Children of the couple are Louise and Bob Mulkey, of Panhandle; Glynda Eschle of Austin; and Beverly and Jim Ingram of Amarillo. Grandchildren are Glynn and Kim Ingram of Rowlett; Lauralee and Jim Arnold of Euless; Kemp Ingram of Amarillo; Sara and Steven Hightower of Amarillo; Matthew and Anise Mulkey of Ponder; Jeremy and Mande Mulkey of Panhandle; Darron and Brandi Eschle of Flower Mound; Erin Kate and James Wolf of Austin; and Jason Eschle of Rockwall.
Great-grandchildren are Melyssa and Daniel Boulware, Stephanie and Holly Ingram, all of Rowlett; Lauren, Christopher and Daniel Arnold of Euless; Robert and Ashley Hightower and Whitney and Kyle Ball of Amarillo; Charlie Bruce and Harper and Sawyer Mulkey, all of Ponder; Rowdy, Emily and Caitlin Mulkey of Bushland; Madison, Bailey, and Leighton
Eschle of Flower Mound; Ashlyn, Elysa, Camden, and Keston Wolf of Austin; and Nevin D Eschle of Rockwall; and one great-great-granddaughter, Riley Hightower of Amarillo.
Louise and Bob Mulkey celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family gathering and reception on Oct. 20 in Amarillo. They were married on October 24, 1962 in Panhandle, on Louise’s parents’ 25th wedding anniversary, and Bob’s parents’ 45th anniversary. Louise is a homemaker, and Bob retired from Pantex in 1997.
Children of the couple are Sara and Steven Hightower of Amarillo; Matthew and Anise Mulkey of Ponder; Jeremy and Mande Mulkey of Panhandle.
Grandchildren are Robert and Ashley Hightower and Whitney and Kyle Ball of Amarillo; Charlie Bruce and Harper and Sawyer Mulkey, all of Ponder; Rowdy, Emily and Caitlin Mulkey of Bushland. They have one great-granddaughter, Riley Hightower of Amarillo.
