Ernie Bob Clinton, 55, of Childress, died peacefully with family at his bedside on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, in Amarillo. As per Ernie’s wishes he was laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Panhandle Cemetery on Aug. 23, 2014.

Ernie was born Sept. 2, 1958, in Borger to James and Saundra Clinton. He graduated from Stinnett High School and then joined the Navy. He proudly served 20 years in the Navy. Ernie loved his Harley, reading, watching movies and his computer. He also liked to hunt and Facebook with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Noble “Rusty” and Ruby Yates and Herman and Dorothy Seiber and uncle, Wayne Seiber.

Survivors include his mom, Saundra Jean Skinner and husband Jack of Childress; a sister, Alison Burks of Seattle, WA; a nephew, Cole Burks of Seattle; a niece, Kacie Burks of Ft. Collins, Colo.; an aunt, Thelma Hunter of Stinnett; cousins, Donna Joy, Jeri Jett, Lori Price, Danny Hunter, Richard Hunter and Tony Hunter; and other relatives and friends.
