Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2019, at First Methodist Church of Panhandle with LaQuita “Quita” Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m., at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Okla. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Panhandle, 208 Main.
Dorris was born May 25, 1937, in Los Angeles, Calif. to Gene and Velma Story. She moved to Panhandle in 1960 where she was a beautician until her retirement five years ago. She was a book store manager at TSTI for several years and owner and operator of DBARJ for many years.
She married Carl E. Foster on Dec. 21, 2007, in Hereford, Texas.
Dorris was a member of First United Methodist Church at Panhandle and Faith United Methodist Church in Woodward.
Survivors include her husband, Carl E. Foster, of Panhandle; a daughter, Tammy and husband Greg Wendel, of Panhandle; two sons, Todd Jewett and wife Theresa, of Panhandle and Toby Jewett and wife Becky, of Fritch; three step-daughters, Debbie Stoots and husband, Brad of Tulsa, Okla., Terri Schiller and husband Ed, of Amarillo, and Shannon Perry and husband Trey, of Drummond, Okla.; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the home, located at 1420 Maple Ave., in Panhandle.
