Collingsworth County District Court hear two pleas via Zoom

Two pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.
- David Calo, 40, from Orlando, Fla. was placed on two years probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of possession of marijuana. Calo was arrested by Childress Police Officer Jessie Zuniga on June 17, 2021 and pleaded to an information filed by the State on Dec. 15, 2021.
Calo was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine to Childress County upfront, $340 in court costs, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Calo faces up to 180 days in county jail.
- Anthony Lemont Kearse, 29, from Orlando, Fla. was placed on two years probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of possession of marijuana. Kearse was arrested by Zuniga on June 17, 2021 and plead to an information filed by the State on Dec. 15, 2021.
Kearse was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine to Childress County upfront, $340 in court costs, and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Kearse faces up to 180 days in county jail.
