Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Larry Taylor and Pastor Paul Hudson, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Clifford was born May 22, 1940 in Optimo, N.M. to Lura Mae and John Mynear. He attended schools in Skellytown and White Deer. On June 25, 1960, he married Mary Jane Crawford in Pampa, she passed away on Oct. 4, 2008. Clifford worked in the oil and gas industry for several different companies over the years. He retired in 2015 after working six years with Pampa Independent School District as a security guard. Clifford was a Baptist his entire life. He was a collector of knives, loved riding horses and spending time with his family. Clifford enjoyed cutting up and had a kind personality. He was always very particular about his hair and spent a lot of time making it perfect. Clifford was known as “Papa,” “Grandpa,” “Pa” and “old man” to his family, he will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ellen Kreis; and a brother, Carl Mynear.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lucinda Mann of Lubbock and Tammy McGee of Pampa; a son, Clifford Leon Mynear and wife Lisa of White Deer; 2 sisters-in-law, Pearl Morgan of Louisiana and Helen Furgason of Pampa; a brother-in-law, Wesley M. Steen of Wheeler; nine grandchildren, Tabetha, Sarah Jane, Jerami, Marcell, Michelle, Shalandra, Judson, Jacey and Jayden; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
