On Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, one plea took place which resulted in the conviction of Robert Gerald Begley.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, assisted by Greg Buckley, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.

Robert Gerald Begley was convicted and sentenced to six months in the Childress County for class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.

Begley, 36-year-old resident of Childress, was arrested in Childress County for the offense that took place April 21, 2013 by Mike Warren, and pleaded guilty to an information filed by the State on July 18, 2013.

Pursuant to the plea agreement, Begley is required to pay a $75 fine to Childress County, $385.50 in court costs, and $140 restitution.
