Wellington – On Monday, May 13, 2013, one plea took place which resulted in the conviction of Vernon J Busby.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, assisted by Greg Buckley, prosecuted the case for the

State of Texas with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.

Busby was convicted for the state jail felony offense of evading arrest. Busby pleaded guilty for the offense that took place on March 3, 2013 and was sentenced to 12 months in the State Jail Division of TDCJ.

Busby, 57-year-old resident of Memphis was indicted by a Hall County Grand Jury on April 3, 2013 after being arrested by Chris Jolly.

Pursuant to the plea agreement, Busby is required to pay $376 in court costs to Hall County and a $500 fine.
