Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Of Panhandle. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Masks are required for services for COVID-19 protocol.
Brad was born April 21, 1960 in Amarillo to Roberta Mae “Longanacre” and Bobby Obrien Roberts. He was a graduate of Panhandle High School. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church where he volunteered as an usher and watered and mowed the grounds. He was a member of Knight of Columbus working many fish fries. He was great mechanic and could fix anything, overhauling engines. He had a knack for numbers and could be relied on to recall everything from part numbers to phone numbers.
He took pride in cooking the beef for the St. Theresa’s and Square House Museum’s BBQ and loved working the Sausage Dinner at Sacred Heart Church in White Deer. He had a heart of gold and would help any friend before helping himself. He loved visiting with his friends and the history of the people of Panhandle. He enjoyed fishing, trips to Colorado and Wendover, Nev.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving is his brother Brien Roberts and wife Heather of Amarillo; nieces, Becky and husband Marvin Christy of Temple, Jennifer Renee Roberts of Arlington, Erica Storm McGee of Canyon and Hope Shelayne Cooksey of Amarillo; great-nephews, Jonathan Lee Christy of Temple and Ryfle Nelson Garmin of Canyon; great-nieces, Aspyn Reign Cooksey and Gracie Cooksey, both of Amarillo.
