Billie “BJ” Jean Sullivan, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at the Sunny Lane Chapel in Del City, Okla.
Billie was born on Feb. 1, 1941 and raised in Panhandle. She moved to Del City in 1974 and resided there until her death.
Billie was a big sports fan and enjoyed watching football, particularly the Texas Longhorns, her favorite team. For a little lady, she could yell “Hook ‘em Horns” like no one else. She loved to garden and make plant arrangements for friends and family. She always made everyone feel welcome and the front door was always open for any of her kids’ friends, regardless of the time of day. She retired from Wheeler Insurance after 25 years and following retirement, she volunteered at Midwest City Hospital where she met some wonderful friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her father and mother, I.W. Hanson and Oneta Hanson; son, Shawn Patrick Sullivan; and son-in-law, Terry Lee Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Jill Sullivan Johnson of Del City and Jennifer Sullivan of Oklahoma City; close friends, Sheila and Jim Sullivan; brother, Tom Hanson and wife Cindy of Amarillo; sister, Peggy and husband Dale Roselius of Panhandle; four grandchildren, Haley Marie Sullivan, Hannah Rae Sullivan, Elijah James Sullivan and Alexander Garland Sullivan of Faribault, Minn.; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Billie was loved by everyone and will be missed forever.
