Benjiman “Bennie” Raymond Diggs

Benjiman “Bennie” Raymond Diggs, 90, of Panhandle passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 24, at the Panhandle Cemetery, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Bennie was born March 23, 1924 in Greer, N.M., to Raymond and Gladis Diggs. He was a Cowboy Chuckwagon Cook for J.A. Ranch. He liked to work with wood.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a daughter, Betty Cate.
Survivors include his two step-sons, Galen Booth and wife, Glenda of Panhandle and Val Boothe of Borger; two step-daughters, Linda Caulkins and Wilma Wood, both of Amarillo; a brother, Leroy Diggs of Cleo Springs, Okla.; and a niece, Anna Fay Lawrence of Kingfisher.
