A celebration of her life was held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Panhandle.
Amy was born on May 28, 1935 in Saddle Mountain, Okla. to Harvey Holden and Dorothy Pauline Eppler. She married David Quannah Strange on Dec. 24, 1952 in Las Cruces, N.M. Amy enjoyed reading and watching Hawaii 5-0. She worked as the director of food service for El Paso Independent School District and in Canutillo, where she retired. Amy coached her daughters in softball and led them to the championships. She followed her husband all over the world.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, David of Panhandle; daughters, Carla Jo Martinez of Panhandle, Jo K. Strange of Amarillo, Donna Strange of Erick, Okla., Linda Martinez of Amarillo and Paula and husband Rex Poole of Panhandle; 15 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Craah Gunn of Amarillo.
