The Panhandle District 1 held their 4-H Super Quiz Bowl on Nov. 8 at the Panhandle High School. Over 100 members competed in the Beef, Horse and Swine Quiz Bowls and the Swine Skillathon.
The Quiz Bowl competition is a fun, motivational tool that encourages members of 4-H to be informed about certain livestock projects. It’s an opportunity for the youths to enhance and demonstrate their 4-H knowledge and skills.
Three senior teams of the Quiz Bowls will advance to state competition at Texas 4-H Roundup on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station in June of 2015. Individuals can advance to the state competition without qualifying on the district level in the Swine Skillathon.
