On Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 one plea took place which resulted in the conviction and sentencing of Steven Gray.
Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.
Steven Gray pleaded true to allegations listed in the State’s Motion to Revoke Community Supervision. Gray was convicted and sentenced to five years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
On July 31, 2008, Gray originally pleaded guilty to the second degree felony offense of robbery that occurred on May 20, 2008, in Collingsworth County and received a seven year sentence, probated for four years.
The State filed the motion to revoke on July 13, 2012, alleging five violations of community supervision.
Gray pleaded true to all of the allegations, which included a new felony offense out of Wheeler County.
Gray is also required to pay $248.25 in court costs to Collingsworth County, a $4,000 fine, and $1,800.00 in restitution.
